Riassunto:The present research addressed the theme ''Learning Styles and their Relation to the Academic Performance of the First Semester Students of the Mathematics and Physics Pedagogy Career, period April 2018 - August 2018". It is a subject of great hierarchy since it allowed to determine the learning styles: active, reflective, theoretical and pragmatic. Where the students of the first semester of the aforementioned race participated. The learning styles have served to make significant changes in the educational process. They have helped to understand as much as to students and teachers that each human being learns in a different way, and that there is no correct or erroneous way of learning; On the other hand, academic performance is a fundamental part of the teaching and learning process, because it allows us to identify if the student meets the standards of learning. The objective of the research was to identify the learning styles preferred by the students and analyze the relationship with academic performance. The research had a qualitative approach. It was composed of a population of 24 students of the first semester of pedagogy of Mathematics and physics. For the data collection, the test or questionnaire of Honey - Alonso was applied, which was structured of 16 questions, for the following subjects: Fundamentals of Mathematics, Fundamentals of Physics, Methodology of Scientific Research and Language and Communication. In this questionnaire is where we could observe the learning style in the different subjects, the dominant style within the subjects was the reflexive followed by the active, pragmatic style and the theoretical style. After executing the analysis and interpretation of data, it is concluded that learning styles influence students' academic performance.
