Čoahkkáigeassu:Child sexual abuse (CSA) is an issue that affects boys, girls, and adolescents. It includes any sexual act aimed at obtaining sexual gratification through the child. Such adverse events in childhood lead to sexual consequences in adulthood. The objective of this study was to analyze the sexual repercussions in adults who were victims of child sexual abuse. This is a documentary and bibliographic research with a descriptive level. A sample of thirty-three scientific articles from the last ten years was used, all of which were methodologically evaluated using the Critical Review Form–Quantitative Studies (CRFQS) assessment tool. Among the main findings, it was identified that child sexual abuse occurs more frequently in females. Additionally, sexual abuse tends to happen mostly between the ages of 1 and 12, with non-penetrative sexual abuse involving physical contact being the most significant type. The most representative sexual repercussions in adults who had experienced CSA included risky sexual behaviors, difficulties in sexual functioning and satisfaction, hypersexualization, aversion to sexual relationships, and dysfunctional patterns in sexual relationships. Therefore, it is essential to promote prevention programs aimed at raising awareness about this social and health issue, in order to reduce the occurrence of child sexual abuse and protect children's rights and autonomy to make decisions about their bodies and sexuality.
