| Summary: | Currently, social networks have become one of the main tools for the dissemination of information. In the present investigation, the analysis of the speech of the electoral campaign developed by the candidate for president of the republic Andres Arauz on Instagram, period November 2020-April 2021, was carried out, in which we could deduce that his speech is more frequently addressed to the people. And citizenship in general, marks the defense of human rights, and highlights its campaign proposals in different formats through the Instagram social network. In this research, the qualitative-quantitative methodology was applied, through the technique of discourse analysis to determine what is said, how it is said and what it is said for, during the period that the 2021 electoral campaign lasted in Ecuador. In addition to discourse analysis, interviews were developed. The sample used was 118 publications between (images, videos and reel format) obtained from the official Instagram profile of Andrés Arauz. A discourse analysis matrix was developed, as well as a question guide for the interviews. The contribution of the experts was successful, each one from their expertise and knowledge made a valuable contribution to this research and contributed to its development. Finally, it can be mentioned that the campaign developed by Andrés Arauz on Instagram was relevant, since it used formats and dynamic content that the Instagram social network deserved given its nature and the audiences it reaches. The results of this research were adapted into an academic article that summarizes the main findings of this study. |
