| Итог: | The research entitled "Cultural Study of the Religious Festival of the Patron Saint Francis and the Return of Migrants to their Community" aims to analyze, from a cultural perspective, the religious festival of Patron Saint Francis and the return of migrants to the community. This involves detailing the activities carried out in the community regarding the religious celebration, identifying traditions and customs, and highlighting the most significant changes. Regarding migration, it describes internal and external migration, forced migration, labor migration, and return migration, along with their causes and effects, particularly in rural areas. The research also discusses migratory dynamics in Ecuador, influenced by economic, social, and environmental factors. Comprehensive strategies are proposed, including community participation, technological innovation, and sustainable cultural tourism, to address these challenges and protect Ecuadorian cultural heritage for future generations. The research methodology is based on a qualitative anthropological approach to thoroughly understand the motivations and meanings of groups and communities. It is divided into two types: bibliographic research, which collects written data, and descriptive research, which analyzes the religious festival of San Francisco and its influence on the return of inhabitants to the community. A non-probabilistic cross-sectional design was employed, collecting data through interviews and participant observation. The sample included 30 individuals, evenly distributed between residents and migrants, and ethnographic methods were used to analyze relevant cultural practices and meanings. The results reflect a deep connection between cultural identity, social cohesion, and the preservation of traditions. The festival functions as an emotional and cultural bond that unites both the local community and migrants, providing opportunities for social integration and the reaffirmation of cultural identity in an increasingly globalized and changing world. It is concluded that traditional activities, such as folk dances and religious celebrations, not only celebrate cultural identity but also transmit knowledge to future generations, thereby strengthening the sense of belonging and historical continuity. However, there is a recommendation to address issues such as the inclusion of modern ideas, environmental sustainability, and the preservation of cultural authenticity to ensure its continued relevance. |
