Análisis del tratamiento informativo sobre periodismo ecológico en la página web de Diario el Comercio, periodo mayo – octubre 2019”.

ABSTRACT: This article aims to identify the informational treatment given to ecological journalism, on the website of Diario El Comercio, between May and October 2019. It was specified as a research question, how is the ecological issue dealt with on the website of Diario El Comercio? In this case, the website is considered as an indispensable tool of support in the dissemination of news in the digital world. The methodology used was mixed-type: qualitative-quantitative, content analysis was used as a technique; with a sample of 42 publications made by this medium during the six months analyzed, and structured interviews were conducted with three experts. This allowed us to discover in numbers the quantity of written information on the topic of ecological journalism and in quality what is written to determine important aspects of the informational treatment and the relevance given to the ecological issue in Ecuadorian journalism.
