الملخص:The main objective of this research project is the development of a preventive program based on positive psychology, the same one that develops capacities to face work stress, generating health and safety in the agro-industrial workers of the food company "ARSAICO" in Chambo - Chimborazo. All in consequence that a greater work effort is needed in times of COVID-19, since the presence of uncertainties generates stress, requiring constant evaluations for workers in order to know the ability of workers to face high levels of stress. The goal is to reduce stress levels by applying the positive psychology program throughout the working day. To obtain the data and carry out the evaluation, a total sample of twenty workers, who before the application of the program present. The results were the following: 65% with an intermediate stress level, 20% of workers with low stress and 15% of workers with stress. With the "COPE" test questionnaire, it obtained that the vast majority present an intermediate level to cope with stress, that is, 90% of the workers, while 10% of the workers presented levels of work stress, determining that there was a correlation between coping with stress and work stress. With the application of several trainings and a series of exercises for muscular and mental relaxation, the level of stress was reduced, from medium and high to low and medium, generating a safe and healthy work environment
