Riassunto:ABSTRACT: The purpose of this research is to determine to what extent administrative management influences the financial sustainability of SMEs in the construction sector of the city of Ambato, period 2019-2021. The study was framed in a non-experimental methodological design since no manipulation of any of the variables was carried out, with a level of descriptive research, whose population was made up of six (6) companies, both micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). For which a questionnaire data collection technique was used, through a Likert scale, therefore, the information collected through this instrument was carried out through a quantitative analysis, which allowed for data analysis using tables. and graphics for better interpretation. In addition, the indicators were applied to measure the sustainability of construction companies in the city of Ambato. Finally, it is concluded that the construction companies in the city of Ambato do not contain an adequate management process, both administrative and financial, since 8.25% of the companies sometimes carry out control of the financial indicators; it was also detected that 17 % of companies do not carry out the evaluation of the work environment indicator, finally it is shown that 15% of the companies surveyed do not have an adequate process for the realization and execution of strategic planning that guides the company to achieve its objectives.
