Summary:ABSTRACT: The objective of this research is to evaluate the level of knowledge that students who provide their services in the Dental Care Unit have about biosecurity protocols, considering the importance of their application when performing any dental procedure to safeguard the integrity of patients and staff present at that place. The research developed is descriptive, observational cross-sectional, applied in a sample of 108 dental students who offer care in the clinics of the career. The data collection technique was the application of a survey through a questionnaire has questions related to disinfection, waste management, sterilization, and use of protective barriers. The results indicated that the level of knowledge possessed by the persons evaluated is good with 40.7% in which the male sex is predominant with 43.5%, to conclude, the clinical evaluation the IV clinic obtained a 52% of good knowledge and at the level of the practice of protocols it was determined that it is regular, resulting in a theoretical practical analysis is coincident with the existence of a relationship directly proportional in the results.
