Sumari:This research aimed to determine the efficacy of stem cell therapy for pulp regeneration in necrotic immature permanent teeth through a bibliographic review of scientific articles found in the last 10 years in various scientific databases such as PubMed, Redalyc, Scopus, and IBECS. For the search and scientific review of the publications, inclusion criteria included current cases of pulp regeneration, and articles that mention the evolution of these techniques over the years were selected. Using stem cells allowed complete and functional pulp regeneration with high efficacy and excellent patient safety. The source of stem cells responsible for repopulating the newly disinfected root canal space was identified as stem cells from the apical papilla present in the immediate periapical area since the induction of bleeding within the root canal allows the apical papilla cells to proliferate within the root canal. Endothelial growth factors incorporated into the blood clot contribute to cell proliferation within the root canal space of immature teeth, promoting tooth development and maturation. Therefore, future dental professionals must understand how these factors induce pulp regeneration. It was determined that the results reflect the procedure's ability to regenerate affected tissues and its potential to restore dental homeostasis. It underscores the importance of regenerative therapies as viable alternatives in modern dentistry, geared toward less invasive and more biological solutions.
