| Summary: | RESUME This research project was developed with the objective of evaluating the influence of resinous humectants on the compressive strength of nanoparticle resin, through a bibliographic, descriptive, observational, comparative, in vitro, experimental and cross-sectional study. Thirty 4x4 mm cylindrical specimens of Filtek Z350 XT nanoparticle resin (3M ESPE) were made, equally distributed in three study groups; Group 1: 10 resin specimens without the application of resinous wetting agents, Group 2: 10 resin specimens with Wetting Resin (Ultradent) resinous wetting agent and Group 3: 10 resin specimens with Adper Single Bond 2 (3M ESPE) adhesive as wetting agent. The resin specimens were subjected to mechanical compression forces in the universal testing machine Tinius Olsen model SUPER L 120, of the Laboratory of Stress and Vibration Analysis of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the National Polytechnic School, obtaining values of maximum compression stress 143.35 MPa for Group 1; 132.40 MPa for Group 2 and 124.36 MPa for Group 3. Through the parametric ANOVA test, it was determined that there are no statistically significant differences (p = 0.546) between the study groups, concluding that the application of resinous moisturizers it does not adversely affect the compressive strength of the nanoparticle resin.
