| Summary: | Dengue is characterized by presenting a wide range of signs and symptoms that can produce different complications when not treated in time. This work aims to demonstrate the incidence and clinical picture associated with the development of this pathology. Information is obtained through statistical data and a review of medical records at the José María Velasco Ibarra Hospital in Tena. The study was descriptive, cross-sectional, and retrospective; 41 patients between 13 and 18 years of age with Dengue's diagnosis. They were admitted to the services of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. Age, sex, lifestyles, schooling, and clinical picture were recorded. The result shows that the age at which Dengue is most affected is 14 years, with a higher prevalence in women than in men, with different levels of education and lifestyles. |
