| Sumario: | The ability to use small muscle groups to carry out highly specific actions, such wrinkling the forehead, tightening the lips, closing the fist, and cutting, among others that require for the involvement of the hands and fingers, is known as fine motor abilities. For preschoolers, the development of fine motor skills is crucial since it is required for the performance of everyday tasks; for this reason, the current research aims to analyze the importance of fine motor skills in the development of children in pre-kindergarten at Dr. Gabriel García Moreno Educational Unit. Methodologically, it includes a quantitative approach, its design is non-experimental, with a descriptive scope, by the transversal time and by the field location, the population was the students of Dr. García Moreno Educational Unit, the sample is intentional non-probabilistic when working with 30 children and 2 teachers pre-kindergarten; a survey prepared with semi-elaborated questions applied to Initial Education teachers was used as a data collection technique. The findings showed that the methods employed to help children improve their fine motor abilities are sufficient, but not in the English course, where it can be concluded that no methods are utilized to help students grow their motor skills. Furthermore, it was found that activities for kids contribute in the development of fine motor abilities. |
