| Summary: | The present investigation deals with the Andean dances of Ecuador as a recreational activity in the free time of children from 10 to 11 years old, from the San Francisco del Chasqui neighborhood. For this research, objectives were set; general and specific. The general objective: to carry out an investigation on the Andean dances of Ecuador as a recreational activity in free time in children of 10 and 11 years of age from the San Francisco del Chasqui neighborhood. Likewise, the specific objectives were raised: analyze the importance of Andean dances, apply an intervention to children and develop a proposal for the benefit of children. The nature of the research used in this work was qualitative, exploratory and investigative, with field research design and bibliographic research. In addition, the theoretical-practical methodology was used; for a better understanding and learning of children. As a sample, there are 20 children, who were registered by their representatives giving their respective authorization so that they can attend the recreational activities proposed by the researcher. It was obtained as a result through the surveys of parents and children. Making known the bad spending of children's free time, by not having alternatives in the community for the good use of it. After the intervention, when comparing the pre and post test, favorable results were obtained, expressed by the children, demonstrating that the activities were to their total satisfaction in contributing to the good use of their free time. Finally, the conclusion was reached fully fulfilling the objectives proposed in the research work. |
