Evolución del Diario la Prensa Riobamba en la era digital en el periodo 2019-2023.

Since the beginning, human beings have felt the need to communicate, and for this reason, over time they have sought ways to transmit a clearer message to others. On the other hand, as human beings have evolved, technology has also evolved with them, resulting in technology being indispensable today in all aspects of human life. Thus, one of the means of information that has transcended history has been the newspaper, becoming one of the oldest mass media in the world, since ancient times this medium has transmitted both national and international information on each of its pages, taking as a reference the Diario La Prensa de Riobamba, a means of communication that has achieved a positive impact both in its printed version and on its digital platform. The Diario la Prensa is a news outlet that has been adapting to the technological changes that have occurred over time, currently having another way of bringing information to citizens, which is through screens in real time, that is, the news that is being developed at that moment, the Diario la Prensa communicates it through a communication platform such as Facebook, and then captures it in its printed edition. The objective of this research is to examine the evolution of the Diario La Prensa de Riobamba in the digital age during the period 2019-2023, for this purpose, qualitative and historical-logical methods were used, in order to understand, through data collection, research and interviews, how it has been transformed from the incorporation of new technologies.
