| সংক্ষিপ্ত: | Hypertension (HTN) in older adults is considered a global public health issue, with a higher prevalence, particularly among women. This condition is often associated with poverty, which in turn is linked to an increase in risk behaviors. However, complications can be prevented by implementing health system strategies focused on care with solid family commitment and contribution. This research aims to determine the family contribution to the adherence of older adults with hypertension to health-promoting behaviors at the primary care level, addressing this issue from a comprehensive perspective. The study is documentary and descriptive, conducted through an exhaustive literature review using databases such as the Regional Portal of the Virtual Health Library, Scopus PubMed, ProQuest, SciELO, Dialnet, Redalyc, Science Direct, and Google Scholar, with a total of 130 searches using Google and search engines. Specific inclusion criteria for scientific literature were applied, and 60 relevant studies were selected and included in the triangulation process. The scientific articles analyzed provided information on older adults with hypertension, characterized various risk behaviors, and examined family fragmentation. The relationship between family contribution and therapeutic adherence and the educational strategies of health personnel that contribute to self-care and user care with practical tools for health-promoting behaviors were also explored. |
