ETGOL provides great advantages in pneumonia, such as the elimination of secretions, the amount of sputum decreases significantly with its application and in severe cases it helps to reduce the ICU stay of patients. The research developed with a bibliographic review modality which consists of the selection, search and analysis of scientific articles with the topic slow total expiration with infralateral open glottis in the physiotherapeutic treatment of pneumonia in order to obtain scientific evidence about the effectiveness of this method in pathology. The analysis of 80 scientific articles carried out, of which 36 suitable for research selected, scientific articles with good scientific information discarded, but they were very old, articles that requested a payment, duplicate articles and especially articles that when evaluated On the PEDro scale, they obtained a rating of less than 6. The scientific databases in which the scientific articles found were: PubMed, Worldwide Science, Scopus, Science Direct, Google Scholar, Cochrane and Scielo which provided good scientific evidence for the research. According to the information presented, it concluded that ETGOL is an effective respiratory physiotherapeutic treatment for pneumonia, reducing the rate of respiratory mortality and the time of the patient in the ICU, improving the quality of life of each patient.
