सारांश:ABSTRACT: Knee osteoarthritis is a degenerative disorder that causes alterations of the cartilage. These, in turn, cause pain, inflammation, and loss of function in the surrounding tissues. This research work aims to investigate the biomechanical sequelae that osteoarthritis of the knee will cause in patients who present this pathology in their lower limb, specifically in the knee, based on scientific evidence and thus issue a timely recommendation to help the patient. Patients to achieve an improvement in their lifestyle. The present investigation was carried out as a bibliographic review addressing the topic of "Biomechanical Sequelae in patients with knee osteoarthritis," and information from various websites and scientific journals from 2014 to 2021 has been used. Data from which these scientific articles have been obtained are Pubmed, Elsevier, and Google Scholar. It was determined that being a degenerative disease and not having a cure, the effects of osteoarthritis can be controlled and, in turn, prevent the adverse effects that it causes together with the biomechanical sequelae. Patients with osteoarthritis of the knee deal with the constant radical change in functionality since the constant pain and its progression with age are inevitable. That is why it is necessary to intervene through therapeutic processes and thus improve the efficiency in the locomotion and movements of people with osteoarthritis.
