Description
Summary:The construction sector in Ecuador is one of the sectors that contributes the most to the socioeconomic development to the population due to its capacity to generate employment, which contributes significantly to the development of our country. Therefore, calculating indicators regarding workload, job security, and profitability of construction companies in the main cities of our country allows us to give real answers to people immersed in these complex systems. This research aims to determine the limits of the interactions that arise between occupational health and safety (OSH), efficiency, and workload in construction companies after a health emergency. For this reason, 50 construction companies from the country`s main cities participate, which are part of different construction chambers in Quito, Cuenca and Guayaquil. For data collecting, the appropriate research techniques and instruments will be used for this research, that is, through surveys, a questionnaire of questions will be carried out, whose main objective will be the tabulation of data referring to the axes of workload, efficiency and safety, established by Rasmussen; As well as through interviews, a questionnaire of questions will be developed to get responses from those involved in the construction process about labor demand, safety, and productivity in construction companies.
