Thus, tripeptide emerges as a promising option for the management of obesity. It was vital to evaluate the efficacy of Tirzepatide in people with obesity, both with type 2 diabetes and in non-diabetic patients, by a systematic review in recognized databases such as SciELO, PubMed, and Scopus. It is a descriptive, cross-sectional, and retrospective design with a qualitative and documentary approach. It included articles and studies published in the last five years, prioritizing meta-analyses and randomized clinical trials that analyzed the efficacy of Tirzepatide in this context. The results revealed that weekly administration of this drug shows a significant reduction in body weight in a dose-dependent manner and offers additional benefits in glycemic control, improving HbA1c levels in patients with type 2 diabetes without increasing the risk of major cardiovascular events. This therapy, approved by the FDA, is a safe and effective option since it significantly advances patients' quality of life and complies with cardiovascular safety standards. |

Su asociación con enfermedades metabólicas, como la diabetes tipo 2, y su contribución a la disminución de la expectativa de vida refuerzan la necesidad de alternativas terapéuticas innovadoras. En este contexto, la tirzepatida emerge como una opción prometedora para el manejo de la obesidad, para evaluar la eficacia de la tirzepatida en personas con obesidad, tanto con diabetes tipo 2 como en pacientes no diabéticos, se realizó una revisión sistemática en bases de datos reconocidas como SciELO, PubMed y Scopus. Este estudio, con un diseño descriptivo, transversal y retrospectivo, con un enfoque cualitativo y documental, incluyó artículos y estudios publicados en los últimos cinco años, dando prioridad a los meta-análisis y ensayos clínicos aleatorizados que analizaron la eficacia de la tirzepatida en este contexto. Los resultados revelaron que la administración semanal de este fármaco evidencia una reducción significativa en el peso corporal de manera dosis-dependiente y ofreciendo beneficios adicionales en el control glucémico, mejorando los niveles de HbA1c en pacientes con diabetes tipo 2, sin aumentar el riesgo de eventos cardiovasculares mayores.
