La Representación de la clase obrera en la novela Las Cruces sobre el Agua de Joaquín Gallegos Lara

The present work was carried out to do a deep investigation of the social reality that Ecuador was going through at that time so the general objective could be established to determine the representation of the working class in work "Las Cruces Sobre el Agua" by Joaquín Gallegos Lara, This was fully complied with, which allowed us to have a different vision of the project For this purpose, several scientific articles were investigated as well as historical resources that helped to develop the theoretical framework, also, qualitative research was conducted because it had to be based on the story of the book and interpret the information in the direction of the objective. The research was bibliographic, as it required the extraction of information from documents to aid its development. Hermeneutics, a key component of our research, was employed to interpret the texts for their dissemination and analysis. This approach allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the past events at that time, which could be interpreted through the research carried out. The use of hermeneutics enriched our analysis, adding depth and richness to our interpretation of the texts. Finally, the analysis of characters was carried out, where it was possible to verify the working class immersed in the work, as well as the importance that it generated within Ecuadorian history and the message that this serious event occurred at that time, leaves as a reflection for future generations, The fact that the work speaks of a social reality in the form of disclosure or social claim, means that indeed the work speaks of a tragic event that directly affected the working class of that time
