Cultura y turismo comunitario en la parroquia de Licto, Cantón Riobamba

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research project is to determine how culture is related to community tourism in Licto parish. It has a qualitative and quantitative character, with a non- experimental cross-sectional design. The survey was used as a tool for the analysis of the two research variables: Culture as the independent variable and Community Tourism as the dependent variable; For this analysis, experts and knowledgeable people in tourism in the parish, were sampled to find out their opinion about community tourism and the population belonging to the parish center to give us their opinion about the culture. The obtained data in the surveys were processed through the IMB SPSS program and hypothesis testing was performed using the Spearman Rho test, this allowed us to establish the relationship between culture and community tourism, and its different dimensions. The interpretation of the data allowed us to elaborate the proposal community tourism management Licto parish model, where we can see a community tourism application model, with strategies and steps to follow for the correct implementation of community tourism, we also find sheets with the main attractions, both tangible and intangible where its characterization is appreciated; all this helps and explains the influence of culture and community tourism and their close relationship.
