Özet:The present research, entitled “Playful activities as a didactic resource in the integral development of children in Early Education Sublevel 2 at the Alfredo Costales Cevallos Early Education Center, Riobamba”, aimed to determine how playful activities contribute to children's integral development. The study is based on the contributions of Jean Piaget, who argues that play is essential in early childhood because it is directly linked to cognitive stages that allow children to explore, understand, and construct knowledge. The research was supported by reliable bibliographic sources such as these, scientific articles, repositories, books, and academic websites. It used a qualitative approach at the descriptive research level, and the population consisted of 25 children from Sublevel 2. For data collection, the observation technique was used, and the instrument was an observation sheet with 10 items and three rating scales: beginning, in progress, and achieved. The results show that playful activities strengthen motor, socio-emotional, and social skills, enhancing integral development. The study also highlights the teacher's role in implementing real, creative, and meaningful learning experiences.
