| סיכום: | The present study arises from the need that children in a private educational institution called “De las Americas” located in the parish Velasco that belongs to Riobamba city in the province of Chimborazo, term 2014-2015 in early education, show deficiencies in their logical and mathematical thinking so that the creation and elaboration of a methodological guide that contains active games is necessary, the guide is entitled: “Stimulating my imagination”. The main goal was to demonstrate the importance of the study to achieve cognitive development in children; the theoretical framework focused on the dependent and independent variables supported by the corresponding authors and theories; the methodology applied was with an investigative and non- experimental design with an exploratory type that permitted a direct contact with the problem; also, it was a descriptive study as it allowed us the description of the problem; an explicative type as it explained the causes and consequences of the problem; a field research, as it took place where the events occurred in order to collect the information; a bibliographic research, as it served to support the theoretical framework; the hypothetical-deductive method was applied as it facilitated the research process; the observation technique was applied to children of early education 2 through the observation checklist with ten items that allowed us to describe the development of the logical and mathematical thinking that tested the hypothesis by the application of a descriptive statistical analysis that prioritized the method of percentages. Moreover, due to children showed an active behavior, this permitted the teacher to apply better methodology as they need a constant support from parents and educators. Finally, the pedagogical guide was handed-in to the institution in order to become a supportive tool for educators. |
