Resumo:The objective of this study is to develop a data model for the sales management of the company MegaHome, these will provide efficiency and sustainable growth to the business sector, since the main authors are the intangible assets (data) that when transformed into control panels help the manager and the sales department in strategic analysis and planning. Since the Ralph Kimball methodology has a highly adaptable approach that adapts to each business requirement, it was proposed to use it to implement a data model in the sales area of the company MegaHome as a tool that allows adequate decision making. Using the tool dedicated to business intelligence Power BI, an interactive report was created where the reports are clearly and concisely displayed for the user; the reports present the best-selling products, months in which a lower or higher income is recorded, frequent customers and cities that invoice the most, in addition, with the SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) tool, a cube was created designed to generate reports with optimal performance and that summarize the results of the analysis. With the results obtained in the iterative report, the company optimizes time and resources in the development of business strategies, allowing for a deeper strategic analysis and the definition of more effective action plans. Therefore, thanks to the evaluation of the data model using the SSAS tool, the company acquires a better capacity to analyze and understand the market, define effective strategies and make timely decisions, thus improving its competitiveness in the furniture sector.
