| Summary: | The present research work was carried out in the "Manuel Lasso" Basic General Education School of the Pull Quishuar Community belonging to the Guamote canton, during the 2017-2018 school year, in which a total of 35 students, 22 men and 13 students participated. women of eighth, ninth and tenth year, the same one that had as objective to determine the development of social skills. In the theoretical framework, relevant concepts of the variable, its basic components, types, classes and dimensions of social skills are presented through a broad bibliographic review. Methodologically it is a mixed approach research; with a non-experimental design since the variable was not manipulated; the type of research was descriptive; by place, field and bibliographic, by the transverse time because it was developed in a given period of time, for which the psychometric scale was used as a technique and its respective instrument "EHS" by Gismero González that evaluated six dimensions or sub -scales: self-expression in social situations, defense of one's rights as a consumer, expression of anger, saying no and cutting interactions, making requests and initiating positive interactions with the opposite sex; then summarizes the research data presented in tables and graphs along with their respective analysis and interpretation, then the conclusions are developed, resulting in a low level of development of social skills in students, both in males and females. women and in the final part the pertinent recommendations were made. |
