| Shrnutí: | This thesis addresses the lack of public spaces in the Riobamba city, it is proposing an urban intervention centered on the train axle as a key element for the development of public spaces in the city and its adjacent areas. The main objective is the implementation of a long-term mass plan that strengthens the organized growth of the city. The research is based on essential theoretical aspects, such as the concept of public space and city, urban transformation, green areas and urban recycling. A systematic analysis of the city is carried out, it is considering the structure, urban systems and phenomenology, which addresses the human perception of the city. In addition, international interventions around railway axes and the creation of new recreational areas are examined. The final proposal takes as a starting point the study and analysis of the site focusing on the sector reactivation, proposing a series of axes and structuring projects that contribute to growth and citizen integration. For the area that includes the ex talleres del ferrocarril, Estadio Olímpico, parque Infantil and parque Sesquicentenario, among other equipment of great importance inside the city, a green and connection axis are defined, it is destined to generate a link between the city and the community that will reduce the deficit of public and recreational space, thus doubling the current area. |
