LOS PARQUES MALDONADO Y SUCRE COMO AGENTES DE DESARROLLO CULTURAL EN LA IDENTIDAD RIOBAMBEÑA, DURANTE EL PERÍODO ENERO- DICIEMBRE DE 2016

The objective of this research is to establish the importance of the Maldonado and Sucre parks as a cultural development agents of Riobamba citizen’s identity during the period from January to December, 2016, and considering that the changes in the infrastructure of the patrimonial goods, produce alterations in the inhabitant’s identity and lack of interest to the patrimonial public spaces. It is transcendental to preserve these two patrimonial goods to preserve the Riobamba citizen’s identity. For the development of the present work, the documentary and field research technique was used, and a survey to collect the information was applied. In the first chapter, the approach to the problem and justification are described, starting from the general objective until reaching the specific objectives and continue with the importance of the topic. On the second chapter the theoretical framework, it was possible to give theoretical, scientific and doctrinal basis to the proposed topic. The third chapter defines the process of the applied methodology, here an analysis and interpretation of data was implemented and expressed in tables as well as in statistical graphs, which explains how was obtained and managed the information in these two strategic places of the city. Chapter fourth presents the conclusions and recommendations that have been reached, after having developed a systematic research process. Finally, in the fifth chapter the communication proposal has been done, it allowed us to educate the citizens to preserve these two patrimonial assets of Riobamba citizens in order to maintain our cultural identity.
