Sumario:The research was aimed at determining the importance of reading strategies in order to generate alternatives to develop creativity in children Fourth Year Basic Education of the Education Unit Teniente Hugo Ortiz parish San Isidro, canton Guano, Chimborazo province, school year 2013-2014, this process begins with the frame of reference based on the problem statement, objectives, rationale and importance, later to make the focus of philosophical, epistemological, pedagogical, psychological, sociological, axiological foundation and legal. Within the theoretical foundation reference to the contents related to the independent variable corresponding to the reading strategies dependent variable and the development of creativity it is done. Regarding the methodological framework relates to methods, design and type of research, the population, the technique is the observation as an instrument tab observation is made. In the corresponding analysis and interpretation of results chapter focuses specifically tabulating data using statistical tables and charts of the observation to children, to proceed with the conclusions and recommendations. It ends with the development of a guide to reading strategies "Game, Leo and learn" which is the core of the research process under which students ran with stimulating activities to develop the creativity of children; the results are precisely the motivation for reading, improving their reading level, implementation of punctuation, assimilation of messages in the development of analysis and reflection, constructing paragraphs and short texts concerning tales and legends.
