| Shrnutí: | Patients with non-transmissible chronic illnesses must adjust their life style having social, family and work-related repercussions. The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the depression and anxiety levels, through Hamilton Scales, in patients with chronic illnesses. The degrees of depression and anxiety will be correlated with the obtained data from the FPSICO scale, which measures work related psychosocial risk. The present study includes a sample of 142 patients chosen at random; 89 females and 53 males. Evidence shows that 85,2% of the patients present a low to moderate degree of anxiety and 38.8% depression. Of the nine dimensions evaluated from the FPSICO, its observed that the prevalence of the psychosocial risk is moderate. The correlation between depression, anxiety and psychosocial work-related risk is significant comparing various degrees of the work load, time at work, psychosocial demands, relationships and social support within patients with chronic illnesses. |
