Summary: | Casa Cuna's n5 of Ambato city began their construction in 1990 in the republican era; consider the city's patrimony, like the front of the building neoclassicist, and materials of construction like pistillate Stone native to Ambato. In 1980, the overthrow of patrimonial buildings caused the earthquake. In 2000, the Juan Montalvo School was the new owner of that building and used it for their profit and necessities, such as more classrooms for the students and holds. However, the building had uncertain conditions because of the scarcity of maintenance, and structural damage has grown over the years. Also, the front of the building cannot be altered because Casa Cuna n5 is declared Patrimony Cultural by the INPC, with receipt inventory. He exposed Fort, and he deduced that one of the principal difficulties is the lack of interest in the conservation of patrimony's buildings, which leads to bad intervention and absence of maintenance that tempts against that patrimony. The methodology takes a qualitative approach because information is collected through the planimetric survey, observation, and technical data sheet of damaged and disabled spaces. At the same time, the perceptions of the people who inhabit the study site are captured. The proposal occurs through the liberation of one of the wings since it altered its original morphology and the restitution of the bay that existed before 2020 to return the historical value to the building, and the relocation of the surrounding buildings and an insertion of a new building that meets the needs of the users. In addition, its structure and materiality will be preserved, applying Camilo Boito's concept of recovering history but with today's materials, meaning that a difference is noticeable from what was built in 1910. To what can be built in 2024, and at the same time change its zoning, giving the building a new use since it has several blocks built randomly and thus maintain the heritage asset, giving it its historical, formal aesthetic, constructive, and functional value, which is the identity of Casa Cuna N5 in the center of Ambato. |
