Facilitación Neuromuscular Propioceptiva en Hemiplejía

The research was developed with a bibliographic review modality, with the objective of analyzing the Propioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (F.N.P.) in hemiplegia, by reviewing different scientific articles to determine the importance of this method in pathology. Hemiplegia is one of the most frequent neurological pathologies today, having an incidence that increases with the passage of time. It was considered significant to analyze the F.N.P. As it is an effective method for the recovery of the patient, the main objectives of the facilitation model are: to develop normal movement patterns, modify the central nervous system through normal motor experience and fractionate the movement by breaking the abnormal synergies. For the methodology of this research, 100 scientific articles were analyzed worldwide, of which, by means of exclusion and analysis through the PEDro scale, 35 articles were chosen that had a score greater than or equal to 6 according to this scale. The information on the subject is minimal, which is why this research is intended to add to existing studies. The databases in which the most important information was found were PubMed, Scielo, WordWideScience, Scopus, Google Scholar. The year that was taken into account for the collection of these items was from 2009 onwards. At the end of this investigation it was concluded that the F.N.P. It is important for a hemiplegic patient because it helps improve motor function, balance, gait and muscle strengthening, obtaining a speedy recovery of the patient.
