Özet:To reduce or minimize vibrations in structures under seismic eventualities was proposed to design a pendulum type tuned mass damping device (PTMD) in structures with elastic - plastic behavior. The methodology was to consider six systems: (1) soil - structure, (2) soil - structure –TMD, (3) soil - structure - PTMD, (4) soil - structure - PTMD with viscous damper, (5) soil - structure with hysteretic behavior – PTMD and (6) soil - structure with hysteretic behavior - PTMD with viscous damper, evaluate them under seismic actions, to vary the dynamic properties as much of the soil as of the materials of the structure and to optimize the device type pendulum varying the dynamic properties of the pendulum. PTMD with a good yield was obtained at the moment of reducing the displacements in the base of the structure. The proposed PTMD exhibits better efficiency in steel structures, as the relationship between the mass of the PTMD and the mass of the structure increases and in soils considered rigid, soft, intermediate and hard and for the type of soil proposed by Greco y Marano (2013).
