Samenvatting:This research work aimed to determine the level of psychomotor development in second year-year students, groups A and B, the School of Basic Education “Fe y Alegría”, Riobamba, Period October 2018-March 2019. The psychomotor development has a great impact on the integral evolutionary process of the person because it develops skills, at a unique rate in each individual, which facilitates interaction with their environment, giving way to various functions of cognitive, motor, social from childhood to maturity. The methodology used was non-experimental design; type field research, bibliographic; the type of cross-sectional study; the level of the investigation is descriptive and correlational; the sample was non-probabilistic and intentional; with 52 students from the Basic Education School “Fe y Alegría”, including 16 men and 36 woman; applied psychometric test technique, with is respective Instrument Scale of Psychomotor Assessment in preschool, which facilitated the analysis and interpretation of the results; where the students demonstrate to have in locomotion a high range of psychomotor development, while positions, balance coordination of legs, coordination of arms and corporal scheme 1 is medium-high, they are located in a level under the dimensions of hand coordination and body schema 2. Reaching the conclusion that of 8 evaluated dimensions, in the general context they demonstrate to have a medium-high level of psychomotor development.
