Sumario:Social network influences education compared to other alternatives. This research was conducted in Riobamba city with the third year bachelorette students, classes “A and B” in the educational institution called “Isabel Godin”, in order to determine the incidence of Social Network like Facebook, Twitter in the academic performance of students. This study aims to find and establish alternatives and methodologies in the teaching process to improve academic performance to ensure quality in education and improve living conditions. The methodology used for this research started with data collection by applying a technical survey. After the analysis and interpretation of information, it is recommended to share the research results and propose alternatives to motivate and encourage students permanently to use social network, which potentiates the intellectual development in the teaching and learning process. The results showed that social network assist education as an important factor that influences positively the academic performance of the third year bachelorette students, demonstrating that learning through social network helps to acquire new knowledge, as social network contains several techniques, strategies and methodologies of easy access.
