Sumari:ABSTRACT: Colon cancer is considered one of the most common lethal gastrointestinal neoplasms worldwide, and nationally, it represents one of the main causes of death, being predominant in men more than in women. The estimated age of risk is 50 years of age and older, but it occurs more frequently in older adults. Its cause is not well defined. However, genetic factors and unhealthy lifestyles top the list. Palliative care is typical of nursing. The work of professionals was related to Jean Watson's Theory of Care where scientific knowledge was linked to the essence of the person, the individual, and the caregiver. A detailed search for information was carried out on specialized pages, such as Medigraphic, Scielo, Elsevier, Google Academic, ScienceDirect, and academic repositories. It concluded that the nursing staff's main interventions, aimed at accompaniment at the end of life, must be oriented in the three spheres of care, physical, psychological, and spiritual.
