Gaia:ABSTRACT: SUMMARY TRANSLATED INTO ENGLISH LANGUAGE This research has as its genesis the problem detected in the Juan de Velasco Educational Unit of Riobamba city, in relation to the scarce use of ICT and TAC technological tools as didactic strategies in the teaching process of teachers of the subject of Cost Accounting. The starting point were the reports issued by the tutors of the public and private companies of the Chimborazo province in which the students carried out their professional practices or also called internships; the evaluations assigned were in three areas such as cognitive, procedural and behavioral, in which 81% of the students registered low grades in relation to the performance that the students had to carry out. Due to its characteristics, the research was defined as quasi-experimental, since surveys were applied before and after the updating and training of cost accounting teachers in the use of ICT and TAC technological tools; it is descriptive, since it was directly observed that the traditional educational paradigms still prevailed in the institution, explanatory because through the application of data collection instruments of the 15 teachers, 56 students and the evaluative evidences of the institutions where they carried out the practices (internships), it was possible to demonstrate the performance of both teachers and students, correlational because it inquired about the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The results got were very significant since they showed that before the training of teachers in the handling and application of ICT and CAT technological tools, the teaching given by the teachers was not very motivating and did not stimulate the interest of the students. Among the main conclusions it can be highlighted that the training of teachers in the use of technological resources, benefits the teaching process of the subject of cost accounting and generates significant learning in students, the empowerment and creativity of the teacher was evidenced, 12 seeking understanding, selection and creation of technological resources that allow them to apply in their classroom and improve the teaching process, and optimize the skills of students.
