Sumario:ABSTRACT: Respiratory system diseases are common in child patients due to the immaturity of this system in this population, so the degree of morbidity and mortality is high worldwide, in addition to this these diseases are also often generated because they are usually not detected in time thus affecting the airways of the individual, all this has led to seek to apply alternative treatments such as respiratory physiotherapy techniques to improve symptoms and reduce the rate of infant mortality; This is the reason why the present work of degree has as objective to determine the efficiency of diaphragmatic breathing techniques and thoracic expansion in the physiotherapeutic treatment of bronchiolitis for pediatric patients, with the purpose of improving their quality of life. It should be noted that the researcher, in order to achieve the development of the proposed case study, determined certain methodologies based firstly on a bibliographic review, thus being considered a type of documentary research where the design was classified as descriptive. In this same order of ideas, with this research work different scientific articles were found of which some were discarded since according to the evaluation and exclusion criteria established in the PEDro scale they did not comply in their totality with the parameters established to carry out the search referring to the topic under study, likewise it is important to point out that these documents used were published in different databases such as PubMed, Scielo, Scopus, among others and in different languages such as Spanish, English, French. Finally reaching the conclusion after evaluating and analyzing different authors that there is an effectiveness of diaphragmatic breathing techniques and thoracic expansion for pediatric patients with respiratory problems specifically bronchiolitis, being advisable to apply these techniques to reduce the rate of people suffering from this disease, preferably at the beginning of the pathology.
