সংক্ষিপ্ত:This research aimed to conduct a bibliographic review of scientific literature on stomatitis caused by using dentures and its association with Candida albicans. Based on PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systemic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) recommendations and standards. Furthermore, it determines the characteristic signs of denture stomatitis in patients who use removable dentures, knows the oral manifestations of stomatitis, and proposes a protocol for treating denture stomatitis. In the research development, scientific articles indexed in the PubMed database were used for ten years (2013-2023), of which 72 articles were selected for review. As a result, it was established that subprosthetic1 stomatitis is a multifactorial disease produced by predisposing factors, the formation of an oral biofilm colonized by the fungus Candida Albicans. The disease occurs asymptomatically. It manifests itself in the form of hyperemia, erythema, and hyperplasia in the area where the prosthesis sits. Its treatment focuses on the elimination of predisposing factors and the use of antifungal drugs.
