| Sumari: | ABSTRACT Impulsivity is rash behavior characterized by a lack of self-control andlack of planning, related to the search for new sensations and behaviors ofrisk. Sexting is the exchange of messages, videos or images of sexual content throughof mobile devices and social networks. This research aimsto analyze the impulsiveness and the practice of sexting in the adolescents of the Educational Unit"Pedro Vicente Maldonado" in the city of Riobamba. It is a quantitative studybibliographic and documentary, with a cross-sectional, non-experimental and descriptive level design,had the participation of a sample of 150 adolescents between 16 and 18 years old, 80 menand 70 women. For data collection, the Barratt Impulsivity Scale and theSexting Behavior Scale housed in the psychological files of the institution. Among the most relevant results, it was found that 66% have a medium level of impulsivity and 93.3% of the sample have little or no practice of sexting. It is determined that there are nodifficulties with impulse control and that the practice of sexting is rare inteenagers. Based on the data obtained, an intervention plan focused onimprove the exploration of sexuality and control of impulsivity in the students of theEducational institution.
