Tóm tắt:This research aimed to identify how parental socialization styles determine social skills in eighth-year students of Basic General Education of the "Carlos Cisneros" Educational Unit. The dependent study variable Parental Socialization is an interactive process through which the cultural contents are incorporated in the form of behaviors and beliefs transmitted to human beings' personalities. The independent study variable Social Skills are those behaviors that are effective in social interaction situations. The skills are the art of relating to people and the world that surrounds them. In the same way, they are appropriate behaviors to achieve a goal in specific social situations. The methodology used had a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design, the type of research by level or scope is correlational, by place is field research, and the type of study is transsectional, the studied population was the students of "Carlos Cisneros" Educational Unit, with a total sample of 40 students. The instruments used for data collection were the ESPA Test 29, which consists of 29 questions and assesses the different socialization types. The Social Ability test consists of 33 questions, and it assesses the six types of Social Skills and other resources such as the IBM SPSS statistics 21 programs for data analysis. The result of the research demonstrated that there is a significant correlation of 357 between the study variables.
