Riassunto:Over the years, it has been noticed that the influence of the Kichwa mother tongue, has become a factor present in the educational and business environments of the indigenous people in Ecuador. However, learning English within bilingual education is necessary in the reality lived in. Likewise, it has been observed that during the English teaching and learning, grammatical, pronunciation and cultural aspects of the Kichwa mother tongue students intervene. Due to the analysis carried out at the Unidad Educativa Monseñor Leonidas Proaño, it was evidenced that the usage of the Kichwa mother tongue has helped students to generate confidence in the teacher, and through this strategy adequately understand the foreign language. That is why in the learning of the English Foreign language, the use of the Kichwa mother tongue should be used as a pedagogical tool in the teaching learning process of English, that is why must understand how and when must use the Kichwa language. This study focuses on the influence of the use of the Kichwa mother tongue in the teaching of speaking skill of English. Two English teachers and their second bachillerato class “A” students were used as the study population. The type of study developed is qualitative research with a descriptive level and it is concluded that the usage of Kichwa as a mother tongue is an adequate resource for learning English because the students uses both languages and there by improves their vocabulary and achieves academic growth.
