الملخص:This research aims to study video games use and students' behavior in the ninth year of General Basic Education parallel "A" of Unidad Educativa "Camilo Gallegos Toledo." The research had a quantitative approach; the design was a non-experimental, descriptive, and correlational type; for the time, it was cross-sectional; for the purpose, it was basic, while for the place, it was field research, while the population was the ninth year students of General Basic Education parallel "A" with a total sample of 15 males and 14 females; for data collection technique was a survey, using the questionnaire instrument with 12 questions. For the analysis of the results, the statistical program SPSS was used, and the data obtained provide a negative correlation between the two variables, which implies that, to the extent that the use of video games by students decreases, there will be less passive behavior, which in many cases affects social, family and educational interactions
