| Summary: | The present research deals with the study of learning styles in students of eighth year class “A” of Basic Education at “11 November” Educational Unit, located in the city of Riobamba, Chimborazo province, in the academic term 2016-2017. The students of eighth year of basic education participated in this experimentation. The purpose was to describe the learning styles of this population, for it was necessary to know the four learning styles: active, reflexive, theoretic and pragmatic approach that more predominate in the students and finally we analyzed the learning styles of the students, the present study was justified because it supports the work of teaching and enhances the process of learning in the students. It supports Honey‘s, Galician‘s and Alonso‘s and Alonso‘s theories of learning styles. Methodologically the research work is descriptive with non-experimental field design, the population was 38 students enrolled in eighth year of basic education class “A”, for this, a test of questionnaire from Honey‘s, Galician‘s and Alonso‘s and Alonso‘s CHAEA learning styles was applied, the results in the first feature that were obtained were that the students have the reflective style with a total of nineteen students and concluding it has been determined that the learning styles influence in which students learn. |
