| Резюме: | The issue of occupational accidents and occupational diseases in Ecuador, Latin America, and the world has been of great social and business interest, for which the intervention of organizations directed to the management of safety and health at work such as; the International Organization and the Andean Community of Nations has been essential for the prevention of safety and health of workers. Thanks to the Constitution and Convention of the ILO and Resolutions of the Andean Community of Nations, each country has been able to issue internal regulations addressing the issue of safety and health at work, such as the example of Ecuador, which has decrees, agreements, and resolutions that regulate occupational health and occupational risk through Regulations on safety and health of workers and improvement of the work environment, Regulations for the operation of company medical services and the General Insurance Regulations for Occupational Risks IESS being supported by the Ministry of Labor through the Labor Code and its Regulations. In this context, the research answers the question: What are the main aspects studied on the costs of occupational accidents and occupational diseases in Ecuador, Latin America, and the world between the period 2010 to 2020?, to analyze the scientific production based on in scientometrics on the cost of occupational accidents and occupational diseases published in the SCOPUS and WOS database between the period 2010 – 2020. The method used was deductive, documentary, and descriptive based on scientometrics- bibliometrics, considering as information sources scientific articles from the last ten years from the SCOPUS and WOS database. The documentary population was a total of 1905 documents, of which 932 documents were selected as population size and 273 documents like the sample size for content analysis and a total of 47 documents for content analysis. The results show that many studies focus on the issue of occupational accidents, with the most affected area being health and services in Latin American countries. On the other hand, it is also essential to mention that most publications and research do not focus on measuring the costs of occupational accidents and illnesses since it only represents 12% of all research. |
