| Sumari: | This research work with the title “Elaboration and Application of the “Peque Sonrisas” Acting Didactic Guide for psycholinguistic development of children at the 1st grade of the Simon Rodriguez School in Quito canton, Pichincha province during the school year 2014-2015. It was carried out with the purpose of improving the linguistic proficiency and vocabulary by using plays for children. The scientific foundation is related to the philosophical, epistemological, pedagogical, psychological, sociological, axiological and legal foundations. The theoretical framework describes themes and topics related to the independent variable which is the didactic guide Peque Sonrisas based on plays for children, and the dependent variable which is the linguistic proficiency. Methodology had a quasi-experimental, qualitative and applicative design because the didactic guide was developed based on motivational activities for the linguistic development. The type of research focused on field and bibliographic work. The method used was hypothetic-deductive trying to go from the general facts to particular ones which contribute to the linguistic development. Observation form with indicators that make evaluation easier was used. The population was 72 boys and girls. The results obtained with the observation form were discussed, tabulated and presented in charts and graphs showing the percentages which helped to prove the hypothesis. The alternative guidelines presents the structure of the guide which includes activities with puppets, storytelling, and games to strength the psycholinguistic development. As results, students showed language improvement by using new vocabulary acquired while imitating different characters and coordinating them with hands, gestures and body language. They showed to be able to tell stories, organize sequences of images, make up new narratives and sing with rhythm, joy and melodious voice |
