Diseño de un sistema de gestión de la seguridad y salud en el trabajo basado en la norma ISO 45001:2018 para el laboratorio de producción industrial de la carrera de Agroindustria de la UTC.

This work has been elaborated under the Engineering, Industry, and Production research line and focuses on the implementation of an occupational health and safety management system based on the requirements established in the ISO 45001:2018 Standard. The research arises from the need to promote a healthy, safe, and comfortable environment in the industrial production laboratory of the agroindustry career at UTC. For this purpose, a field methodology was applied that involved the use of a checklist designed to evaluate the level of compliance with each section of the standard. The initial results revealed an overall compliance level of 17%, mainly due to the lack of documentary justification in the processes and the incipient implementation of activities related to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). For this purpose, an OSH manual was prepared, which involved the development of the essential requirements of the standard. The implementation of these requirements had a significant impact on the improvement of OSH management, as evidenced by an increase in overall compliance with the requirements of ISO 45001:2018, reaching 67%. These changes represent significant progress in the path towards the prevention and control of occupational risks in the organization. However, it is recommended to continue with the implementation of improvement actions and promote a strong culture of risk prevention and control to ensure continuous compliance with the requirements of the standard and guarantee a safe and healthy work environment.
