الملخص: | The main purpose of this study was to the problems in the drinking water supply networks is the presence of leaks, where this incidence implies an economic loss for the company in charge of the system and even affects the users economically; it should be emphasized that it also generates a negative environmental impact and means that the service provided to the users is not of high quality. It is for this reason that this research aims to determine the incidence of leaks in water supply networks in seven communities in the Regional Chazo- Santa Fe de Galán, identifying the volumes injected into the networks concerning those billed, through a water balance allows us to know the water leaked and unaccounted for water, also applying a map where you can graphically display the areas with the highest incidence of leaks, in order to determine and provide solutions to the problems present in the Regional. For which a mixed research methodology was applied, i.e. qualitative and quantitative, applying on-site visits to collect data to indicate which the most affected areas are. For the quantitative part we have the application of a water balance with the data obtained in the field. As a result, according to the Water Regulation and Control Agency, it is identified that the region has a "Low" performance range, since in 2018 it has a percentage of unaccounted water of 47.58%, it is also determined that the communities of Cahuaji Alto and San Luis de Sabañag have the highest percentage of leaked water with 47.50% and 37.04% respectively. |
