Dodaj oznaku | Sažetak: | This research work is focused on determining the relationship between the condition of the roads and the cost of maintenance of urban buses in the canton of Tena by means of the International Regularity Index (IRI) and obtaining the costs of the spare parts most affected by the condition of the roads. Three types of techniques were used for data collection: bibliographic review, testing with the Merlin roughness meter, and the application of user surveys. Once the results of the IRI indicator were obtained, they were classified into categories across the entire lane and finally an average IRI value of 2.35 m/km was determined for all roads. With the data obtained in the surveys, a contrast was made between the information provided by the owners of the urban buses with the costs acquired from the mechanics through the use of Pearson's correlation coefficient, thus obtaining a correlation of 0.997 which indicates that the variables are directly related, in addition this information was contrasted with the data of a study of rates made by the GAD Municipal del Tena, which are made in ideal conditions of the roads, from this was determined the annual cost of maintenance of an urban bus giving a value of $ 4 123. 01, finally this data was correlated with the IRI Indicator, where there is an increase of $ 283.01 compared to the price given by the GAD Tena of $ 3 840, in addition to this was determined a price increase of 103% in shock absorbers, elements that are directly linked to the regularity of the roads. |
