The objective of this research was to correlate enteroparasites and hygienic-sanitary conditions in the community of Batzacon, Chimborazo. A field/non-experimental, correlational, cross-sectional, and prospective investigation was carried out in which a total of 122 stool samples analyzed by direct examination, Ritchie, Kato-Katz, and modified Ziehl-Neelsen. The results showed a prevalence of 100% of protozoa and 6.86% of helminths, the most frequent being Blastocystis sp. (84.43%), Endolimax nana (72.13%), Entamoeba coli (56.56%), and Entamoeba histolytica/E. dispar, Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, Hymenolepis nana. The prevalence of Blastocystis sp., was higher in adults who have a father who has only studied up to primary school (RR: 1.29), likewise, those who eat lupines (RR: 1.56), present overcrowding (RR: 3.23), drink boiled water (RR: 2.81), raise guinea pigs (RR: 5.91) and maintain inadequate hygiene habits (RR: 3.24) have a higher risk of infection by Entamoeba histolytica/E. dispar. As for children, the risk of infection by Entamoeba histolytica/E. dispar increases in those who have a mother up to primary education (RR: 2.02), defecate on the ground (RR: 1.83), are sleepy (RR: 1.95), and decay (2.03).
