“RESILIENCIA EN LOS ESTUDIANTES DEL BACHILLERATO DE LA UNIDAD EDUCATIVA LICEO POLICIAL, RIOBAMBA, PERÍODO OCTUBRE 2018 – MARZO 2019”.

The objective of this research was, establish the levels and dimensions of resilience in high school students from the Liceo Policial Educational Unit Riobamba city. Resilience is the capacity that a person has to overcome a state of emotional pain, situations of adversity, catastrophes, trauma, etc. (Wagnild & Young, 1993). We work with 84 high school students. Methodologically, the research work corresponds to a non-experimental study, with a quantitative approach, of a transversal nature, basic because of the objectives, field because of the place, descriptive level and correlational research. A non-probabilistic and intentional type sample. The applied technique is a psychometric test, with its respective Resilience Scale instrument of Wagnild and Young. The instrument also highlights the levels of resilience dimensions; which facilitated the interpretation and analysis of the data, given as a result that adolescents have a low level both, level of resilience and in its dimensions, in the respective comparison we evidenced that male have the most high level unlike women in the personal satisfaction, equanimity, feeling good alone, and self-confidence dimensions, while women show higher levels that men in the perseverance dimension.
